A.F.S. (21 YEARS OLD) Liposuction on the inner thighs I always wanted to have liposuction, but was scarred because of comments that I had heard about the surgery, but after the first consultation, I felt more confident because it had all been very well explained to me. I booked the surgery for 10 days later, and raced to take all the necessary tests, had a consultation with the anesthetist and made all the preparations (girdle and medicines). On the day of the surgery I was anxious but was well looked after. I was also pleased with the hospital. I don’t remember anything about the surgery (I was sedated). When I woke up I was in the room. I felt quite ill, due to the anesthesia. The first night was not very comfortable, as I couldn’t seem to find a position to sleep. In the beginning I couldn’t feel my body, but after the effects of the anesthetic had passed, and the pains began which were bearable; After leaving hospital, with the prescribed medicine, the pains had eased. I felt a little dizzy during my first bath, lay down for a bit and then continued my bath (low blood pressure). The lymphatic drainage hurt a little, but I felt some relief afterwards. I didn’t feel anything when I took out the stitches. I began to see the results after 2 months. During this period I thought that it hadn’t changed anything. I had the surgery on a Friday, rested on the Saturday and Sunday and on the Monday went back to work. My after surgery was fine, very different to what I had been told about liposuction.
