PRE-SURGICAL (DR. LUCIANA – PLASTIC SURGEON) Stop smoking at least 30 days before your surgery.
Do not abuse the use of alcohol or drugs.
Avoid taking medication containing ASA (acetylsalicylic acid), because it increases bleeding.
Suspend the use of weight loss formulas 30 days before your surgery.
Bring your hairbrush and toothbrush, loose-fitting clothing, cotton slacks with an elastic waistband, button down blouses/shirts and sunglasses (in the case of eyelid surgery) to the hospital.
Purchase two girdles. You can wear one while the other is being washed.
It is extremely important that you have someone accompany you. |

POST-SURGICAL (DR. LUCIANA – PLASTIC SURGEON) Before you get into the car to go home, lower your seat all the way down.
Eat healthily and drink a lot of liquids. It is a good sign when your urine is clear!
Any dieting during this phase is harmful.
The first shower should be warm, always keeping a stool nearby. Dizzy spells are quite common, but they go away after a day or two. Nausea usually occurs due to a drop in blood pressure. Whenever this happens, lie down or sit a lower your head almost between your knees. The nausea will soon pass.
The bandages must be removed after 24 hours and the scars should be washed with water and soap foam.
We will recommend the use of ointment if necessary.
The scars should always be kept dry.
Each patient’s recovery, which will be evaluated during the post-surgical medical appointments, will determine the patient’s return to physical activities.
There is no bleeding or pain when the stitches are removed. |

WEIGHT CONTROL (DR. CLÁUDIA - ENDOCRINOLOGIST) Always eat in peaceful places and chew slowly;
Find out what the caloric value of the food you eat is;
Fractionate your diet with fruit and juices, this way you will be less hungry in between meals;
Be careful with alcoholic beverages because they are very caloric;
Concentrate on your behavior and not on your weight. Change your habits!
Never eat candy when you’re hungry!
Remember: losing weight and maintaining your weight is not easy. Changing your habits and lifestyle requires a lot of attitude and above all, perseverance. |
